Authorities suspect arson in a fire that destroyed a covered bridge in a Terre Haute city park.
The bridge was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at Deming Park shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Terre Haute Fire Department spokesman John Gardner says the fire was definitely arson because there was no electricity on the wooden bridge.
Gardner says they have no leads in the fire, but says fresh bicycle tracks were found near the bridge.
The 30-foot long bridge was built in the 1990s to resemble historic covered bridges in the area.
