Indianapolis firefighters have recovered the body of a person from the White River in the city's Broad Ripple neighborhood.
Fire Lt. Larry Tracy says a dive team recovered the body Monday afternoon after nearby workers spotted it and called 911.
Tracy tells The Indianapolis Star the age and sex of the victim haven't been determined because the body was covered with algae and debris.
Indianapolis Metro Police Officer Michael Hewitt says homicide detectives and crime lab technicians are investigating.
