Across Indiana, Catholic youth and lay leaders, priests and bishops and others are preparing to travel to Washington, D.C., or the New York City area to greet Pope Benedict next week.

Bishops Dale Melczek of Gary, Gerald Gettelfinger of Evansville, William Higi of Lafayette and John D'Arcy of Fort Wayne will attend events with the pope.

Five Purdue University film and video students, along with an instructor, will be part of a crew that films the pope's Mass at Yankee Stadium in New York City on the last day of the visit, April 20th.

While the pope speaks, footage will be projected on the stadium's video screens for an audience expected to number 60,000 and sent on a satellite feed for television outlets.
