A judge has sentenced a former hospital lab technician to six months on home detention for biting a 3-year-old boy's shoulder during a blood test.
Fifty-four-year-old Anne McGlorthon of Indianapolis was also given one year probation and 120 hours of community service during a hearing Tuesday. She pleaded guilty to a battery charge in February.
Police said McGlorthon told them she bit the boy because he bit her as she restrained him. The boy's mother said she later found teeth marks on his left shoulder.
McGlorthon was fired after the October incident.
The Associated Press left a phone message seeking comment Wednesday morning at an Indianapolis number listed under McGlorthon's name.
