It's been a deadly week in the state's second-largest city.
Fort Wayne has recorded its ninth shooting death in less than a week and the latest victim is a South Bend teen.
19-year-old Frederick Jones was shot and killed Sunday after an argument erupted at an apartment party.
According to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Jones was not involved in the brawl that led to the shooting.
Friends of Jones say he was a South Bend native and IPFW student.
His death was the second shooting death over the weekend in Fort Wayne.
On Saturday, a man died after he was shot outside a tavern.
The rash of homicides began with the shooting deaths last Monday of five people at three different locations.
