Hoosier turkeys will recieve Presidential pardon

Two turkeys grown right here in the Hoosier state will be part of a holiday ritual in our nation's capitol.

National Turkey Federation Chairman Ted Seger has selected two of his finest turkeys from his ranch in southern Indiana.

The turkeys are headed to the White House to receive the standard Presidential pardon on Tuesday.

The tradition dates back to 1947 when the first turkey was presented to Harry Truman.

After the President pardons the birds their next stop will be Walt Disney world.

Then on Thanksgiving Day they will be the stars of the Thanksgiving Day parade.
