Indiana State Police say the driver of a car stopped for speeding on a rural western Indiana highway died after collapsing on the roadway.
A trooper pulled over the man this morning on Indiana 28 near Hedrick, about 30 miles west of Lafayette.
Police say the driver got out of the car and collapsed. The trooper and an off-duty emergency medical technician who was passing by attempted to revive the man.
The man was taken to Provena Hospital in Danville, Illinois, where he was pronounced dead.
State Police say an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The man's name hasn't been released, pending notification of his family.
