Memorial Hospital's Health Discovery Center is offering free couples health screening with a little romance on the side.
Next Thursday, April 19th, couples can make aa date to get free clinical breast exams and prostate exams and also enjoy complimentary wine, chocolate, cheese and music.
Deb Leonakis, Director of Memorial's Regional Breast Care Center says it's a fun way to help people in Michiana stay healthy, "You need to have some fun with the screenings so we decided, let's have a date night. Men and women, partners, couples can come in. What we're going to do is have wine and chocolate and cheese and then we have two of our oncologists, Dr. (David) Hornback and Dr. (Samuel) McGrath. They're going to be going with the gentlemen and doing prostate screening and the women will come with the staff from the Breast Care Center and we're going to be doing clinical breast exams."
Memorial is offering the screenings by appointment from 3pm until 7pm on April 19th.
Men are required to be between the ages of 50 and 75 or 40 and 75 if you have a family history of prostate cancer. Men who have had a PSA test in the last six months are not eligible.
