While natural painkillers are effective at least one over-the-counter drug is showing benefits we didn't know about before.

Aspirin has long touted its effectiveness at reducing heart attacks and a new study now shows taking one aspirin each day can also help prevent cancer deaths.

Researchers at the American Cancer Society reviewed data on more than 100,000 cancer patients who took Aspirin before the cancer diagnosis.

A daily aspirin was associated with a 16 percent lower mortality rate 5 years after their cancer diagnosis.
