Planned Parenthood of Indiana says it will offer free Pap tests at 19 of its health centers next week.
The free tests are in celebration of National Women's Health Week.
The dates and locations of the free testing days will be May 14 in Fort Wayne, Planned Parenthood's Indianapolis-Eastside center, Madison and Terre Haute; May 15 in Bloomington, the Indianapolis-Midtown center, Lafayette and Merrillville; May 16 in Richmond, the Indianapolis-Castleton center and Valparaiso; May 17 in Hammond, the Indianapolis-Southside center, Mishawaka, Muncie and Warsaw; May 18 in Avon and Columbus; and May 22 in Evansville.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends Pap tests for all women 21 years of age and older. Pap
tests can detect abnormal cervical cells that may indicate cervical cancer.
