Fewer American teens are having kids than ever before, and the numbers have plummeted over the last two decades.
The National Center for Health statistics says roughly 34 of every 1,000 teen girls got pregnant in 2010, down 9-percent from 2009 and 44-percent from 1990.
Experts credit strong pregnancy prevention messages and increased contraceptives use.
And although birth control methods vary, teen births are down in all racial and ethnic groups.
