More unmarried couples are having children according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The latest statistics show the number of babies born to unmarried couples who live together nearly doubled since 2002.
Experts say this is likely due to the fact more men and women are choosing to live together rather than get married.
They say children born out of wedlock are more likely to grow up in an unstable environment, but those born to a woman living with a partner have more resources than those with single parents.
