Three months after having a tumor the size of an orange removed from his brain, a 25-year-old Jackson man has finished a 5K race at the Big House in Ann Arbor.

Shawn Pogrob was only planning to cheer on family members, until
his father-in-law said he'd run the race with him.

Shawn finished the Big House, Big Heart 5K in just over 33 minutes. Crossing the finish line - the 50-yard line on the Michigan Wolverines' field - was the memory of a lifetime for the devoted U-M fan.

Shawn hopes the double vision and loss of some feeling in the
right side of his head will subside.

Meanwhile, the manufacturing worker tells the Jackson Citizen
Patriot that he sees "life differently now" and doesn't "take things for granted."
