State police report that 14 sex offenders who have not kept the state up-to-date on their addresses have been arrested in Michigan and other states in the past year.
Governor Granholm unveiled the Michigan Most Wanted Sex Offenders Web site last August to track down the most dangerous sex offenders who fail to verify or update their addresses.
The extra exposure helped police track down sex offenders in Arizona, Colorado, Florida and South Carolina. One offender turned himself in after seeing his picture among the 10 most wanted.
Citizens can provide information by calling the Michigan State Police toll-free at 1-866-761-7678 or contacting their local police department.
More than a thousand sex offenders who didn't keep their addresses up to date were arrested in 2006.
