Federal health officials say the recent outbreak of Listeria in cantaloupe has caused the worst food poisoning toll in more than a decade.
The Centers for Disease Control say tainted cantaloupes have led to 21 deaths and made at least 109 people sick.
Illnesses and deaths have been reported in 23 states.
300,000 cases of Rocky Ford-brand cantaloupes from Colorado were recalled in September.
The FDA has still not identified the root cause of the Listeria outbreak.
