A man is facing murder charges in Michigan after investigators say the pickup truck he was driving collided head-on with a car, killing a woman and two young children.
The crash happened Tuesday night near the intersection of County Road 388 and 62nd St. in Geneva township, near South Haven.
David Glen Johnson, 32, is facing 11 felony counts, including second-degree murder and operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death.
Police say he was driving his pickup truck down County Road 388, when he tried to pass a westbound Grand Prix and hit a vehicle going opposite way head-on.
The driver of the Grand Prix and two little girls in the back seat were pronounced dead at the scene.
Those are Brittney King, 24, of Bangor, as well as Kandice Berryhill, 2, and Cassadi Berryhill, 4, both of South Haven.
Officers say the two children were not properly restrained as there were no car seats in the vehicle.
The girls' father, Justin Berryhill, 24, survived the crash and is currently hospitalized in stable condition.
