A youth sentenced to 30-years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder, is appealing his conviction.
Paul Gingerich was 12 two years ago when he pleaded guilty in Kosciusko County in connection with the murder of his friend's stepfather.
Gingerich and the friend allegedly stole the victim's car and took off for Illinois.
On October 30th, the Indiana Court of Appeals will hold oral arguments on the case.
Attorneys for Gingerich say the courts should have conducted a competency evaluation based on the developmental immaturity of Gingerich.
