SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- A man facing charges in the shooting death of a two-year-old boy in South Bend is expected in court Monday.
Xavier Primm, 23, was recently extradited back to St. Joseph County after being caught in Illinois.
He is charged with assisting a criminal in the death of two-year-old John Swoveland Junior.
He also has a bail review date later this week.
Swoveland was killed by a stray bullet on April 9 while playing outside at his aunt's house on Campeau Street.
Police say that bullet came from a gun battle between two rival gangs about three blocks away, near Coquillard Park.
A total of eight people were charged in connection with the crime.
