A woman miraculously walked away unharmed after a crash that brought power lines down on top of her car.

It happened in the 2100 block of West Marquette Woods in Lincoln Township, Michigan.

Police say the woman went flying through a stop sign and smashed into an electric poll around 6 a.m.

The woman was able to climb out of the car by the time emergency crews arrived.

The Lincoln fire chief says thankfully, electricity was shut off when the poll came down, or the woman could have risked electrocution.

She also landed just feet away from a home.

“It just missed the house, just missed the intersection. She's pretty lucky she came right down in the grass and hit the pole, so it could have been worse,” said Lincoln Township Fire Chief Ron Burkett.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still investigating why she never stopped at the sign.
