Woman dies 10 days after crashing into utility pole

A Middlebury woman has died, 10 days after crashing her car into a utility pole along C.R. 35 southwest of Middlebury.
According to reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, 60-year-old Shirley Grace lost control of her car on December 21.
Authorities initially reported that she suffered injuries to her neck, back and knee. The coroner’s office says the back injury was quite serious. Though autopsy results are pending, she likely died from complications from that injury.
