ANDERSON, Ind.--- An Anderson woman is in hot water after carrying a gun onto school property on Wednesday.

Bonnie Trahan, 27, had arrived at her son’s school, St. Mary’s School, Wednesday morning to talk with the principal about threats made towards her son.

According to The Herald Bulletin, Trahan said she then pulled out the .40-caliber Glock pistol from the waistband of her pants and placed it on the principals desk.

Trahan has a lifetime permit to carry a gun from the Indiana State Police. Trahan said she brought the gun because she wanted to demonstrate how easy it was to bring the gun into the school.

Trahan is charged with possession of a firearm on school property, a Class D felony.
