About 100 employees were unexpectedly called back to work one week after Whitley Products in Plymouth suddenly closed its doors.
According to WorkOne of Northern Indiana, employees were at a Rapid Response Event Thursday looking for new jobs when they were called back to work.
The tubing company closed Jan. 24 and said in a statement their ""senior lender has again refused to provide the necessary funding to enable Whitley to continue its operations ... for our employees, this means that their employment is terminated, effectively immediately."
Several Whitley employees say they received little to no notice about the closure.
In a letter dated Jan. 23, Whitley Products warned employees about their fragile financial state, but didn't say employees would lose their jobs for sure.
Whitley Products could not be reached for comment Friday night on the Plymouth facilities reopening.
