A Warsaw native has gone missing in Africa. Friends and family fear he crashed his airplane.

Jerry Krause is a pilot overseas. According to Find Jerry, a Facebook page dedicated to the search, he’s been missing since April 7th, when he made a ferry flight from South Africa to Mali.

"The best hope is that he was hijacked," Beth White, a friend and former colleague of Krause, told WTHR. The big fear though, is that the plane crashed in the water.

The family is urging Congress to get involved in the search. More information is available on the Find Jerry Facebook page.
