A Warsaw police officer is injured after his patrol car was hit Thursday at an intersection and spun out of control.
It happened just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Sheridan and Colfax Streets.
Sargent Clay Layne, 42, was travelling east on Sheridan, when he was hit by Carrie Graves, 60.
Police say graves had a stop sign, while Sargent Layne had the right of way.
Graves said she looked both ways, but didn't see the officer until the impact.
Her car hit the driver’s side door, and both vehicles spun 90 degrees.
Emergency crews took Layne to the hospital with pain in his back.
No word yet on his condition.
Graves didn't report any serious injuries.
