A troubled South Bend gas station was surrounded by more violence this past weekend. Three people were shot early Sunday morning at a Citgo station that has seen problems before.

All were 25-year-old men, and they were taken to the hospital Sunday with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say the injuries were all related to shots fired at the Citgo near the corner of Bertrand and Olive.

This Citgo has been the scene of several incidents in the past. Victims were wounded by gunfire at the same gas station in June, and in July of 2011.

Neighbors say the area can be annoying and even scary at times.

Police are receiving conflicting information about those involved in the shooting.

Witnesses are encouraged to call Michiana Crime Stoppers at 288-STOP.
