PLAINFIELD A Plainfield resident is out $1,900 after falling victim to a scam.

She responded to a Craigslist ad about a house rental in Noblesville. The person who claimed to own the home asked her to wire a security deposit and the first month's rent, but according to Stacey Page Online, the victim never got the keys to the house.

After driving by the home, she found that it was actually being rented out by a realty company that had no connection to the Craigslist scam artist.
