HAMLET An undercover police officer strolled the halls of a Michiana school this week, in a surprise visit to test the school's security.

The state trooper entered Oregon Davis Junior Senior High School through a shop door that was propped open. According to WKVI, it was a few minutes before a teacher noticed and initiated lockdown procedures.

Even then some classrooms didn't turn off lights and lock their doors, as is protocol.

The school intends to have more surprise tests in the future, to make sure everyone knows how to act in an emergency.
