Elkhart, Ind. A local soldier, serving in Afghanistan, has been reimbursed for an insurance claim by the United States Postal Service that was initially denied.
Nearly two weeks ago, Bernie Rider came home to visit his mom in Elkhart. He sent a box with 150 DVD's to her house, and paid for insurance.
When his mom picked up the box at the Elkhart Post Office it was marked, "received without contents."
Initially, the Post Office wouldn't pay Rider's insurance claim for the stolen DVD's, until an investigation was conducted by NewsCenter 16.
Now the Postal Service says they are looking into what happen to the package's materials.
