UPDATE: Indiana Conservation officers investigate swan killings

Indiana Conservation officers did not find any violations with the kill method of the two swans that were killed on a lake in Kosciusko County.

Two people say they say some men shoot one of them with a pellet gun, row out and rope it and drag its body to their boat, and beat it to death with a boat oar.

The men say only a pellet gun was used to euthanize them. They say a paddle was used to get to the swan and pull it to the boat.

Nobody actually saw the paddle hit the bird and that includes the people who claim they saw the incident.
