Two people killed in a fiery crash early Saturday morning have been identified.
Aleksandra Strikas, 22, of Lagrange, Illinois and his passenger, Matthew Ross, 25, of Harbert, Michigan, were driving near the intersection of Lakeshore and Marquette Drive in New Buffalo Township when the accident happened.
Police say Strikas was speeding and did not stop at a stop sign when he hit a large tree, and his car burst into flames.
Investigators say alcohol was a factor.
