Two men arrested after police chase in Syracuse

Syracuse, Ind. Two men are in jail after allegedly crashing a car into some trees and leaving a woman unconscious.

It happened Sunday just after 4:30 a.m. in Syracuse. Officers tried to stop the speeding car, which started a chase. At one point the pursued vehicle lost control and ended up in a field and then into some trees.

The two men fled on foot, but officers found 35-year-old Pamela Howze of Buchanan unconscious in the back seat. She was flown to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries and alcohol intoxication.

Police later caught up with 25-year-old Lyle Miller near his home. 40-year-old Donald Combs was found hiding in an apartment closet.

The men, both from Syracuse, were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
