Two injured after crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.--- A three vehicle accident south of Goshen left two people injured on Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 6, near CR 29.

Barton Braugh, 72, of Paw Paw, Mi., was stopped at the intersection of CR 29 and U.S. Hwy. 6, facing south in his 2007 Buick LaCross.

Braugh then pulled out into the intersection, and in front of the path of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler being driven by Bret Stahly, 53, of Goshen.

Braugh collided with the front driver's side of Stahly's Jeep, spinning his Buick into the front bumper of a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, being driven by Jeremy Johnson, 26, of Syracuse.

The collision caused damage to the front end of Braugh's Buick, while both the Jeep and Dodge Ram suffered driver's side damage.

Stahly was transported to Goshen General Hospital after complaining of pain to his left lower leg. A passenger in his vehicle, Rebecca Stahley, 42, was also transported to the hospital after complaining of back pain.

Braugh was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
