More compliments are streaming in for Coveleski Stadium; this time from a well-known NASCAR driver.

Martin Truex Jr. threw out the first pitch of the Silver Hawks game Thursday.

He stayed for the ball game and even chatted with fans and signed autographs.

It was Truex Jr.’s first time at the cove, but he had nothing but good things to say about the newly renovated ball park.

"I mean as soon as I walked in, the first thing I said to the NAPA guys was, 'man, this place is really nice.' so, great place to come watch a game. I love baseball so I’m happy to be here,” he said.

And another big name will take a peek at the cove soon. Cubs Hall-of-Famer Andre Dawson visits the park Sunday, August 12th.
