Truck driver dies after a crash on I-94

A man is dead after his tanker truck collided with another semi on Interstate 94. It happened near eastbound mile marker 44 in LaPorte County shortly before 2 a.m.

A car had stopped in the lane farthest to the right. He said he had seen a possible drunk driver and had pulled over with hazard lights flashing, so he could call 911. A semi-truck was stopped behind him.

The driver of the other semi was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Officers are thankful the ethanol from Lunn's tanker did not leak or explode.
