Tree-mendus Fruit Farm to host 39th annual cherry pit spitting competition

The 39th annual International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship will be held Saturday.
The competition is held at Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm in Eau Claire every year.
Pit spitters from Michiana, and as far away as Europe, come to the farm to see who can spit pits the farthest.
Qualifying rounds start at 10 a.m. The competition begins at 1 p.m.
