A familiar non-profit in Niles is asking for the community’s help after being robbed.

A trailer was stolen from the parking lot of Niles Burn Run’s headquarters sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

According to the Niles Daily Star, the 14x6 foot enclosed trailer was worth around $4,000. Its only distinguishing marks are the wood shelves inside.

The organization used the trailer to haul supplies to and from events – including their annual motorcycle ride which raises money for the Great Lakes Burn Camp.

It is a place where children who have suffered burn injuries can heal and have fun with fellow burn victims.

The Brown Funeral Home in Niles has generously donated $1,000 to the group for a replacement trailer.

If you would like to help, a donation page has been set up.

You can find a link to that website by clicking on the Big Red Bar on the WNDU home page.
