Tip leads to two meth arrests

LaGrange County Deputies received a tip Thursday that Melissa Norris, wanted on Felony Charges out of LaGrange County was staying at a home in the 7000 block of E 750 N. When police arrived at the residence they talked to Gregory Williams who told them Norris was not at the residence.

Williams gave officers consent to search the home for Norris. Officers located her during their search in a back bedroom.

While officers were speaking to Williams, they were able to see a one-pot meth lab and paraphernalia.

Williams and Norris were both taken into custody and transported to the LaGrange County Jail.

Gregory Williams was booked on charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Melissa Norris was booked on charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

In addition to Melissa Norris’ new charges, she was booked on an outstanding warrant for Failure to appear, possession of Methamphetamine, D Felony, Possession of Chemical Reagents, D Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia, A Misdemeanor.
