Three Kosciusko County residents were recently arrested on drug charges after the culmination of an intensive Kosciusko County Drug Task Force investigation.
Officers initially arrested Nathaniel David Heitkamp, and 18-year-old from Warsaw, on preliminary charges of dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance, which is a Class B felony. That arrest occurred on June 12th, and his bond was set at $10,000.
A second suspect, Derek Wagner, a 28-year-old from Etna Green, was arrested on June 17th after a warrant was issued by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office charging him with dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance, a Class B felony. Wagner's bond was set at $10,000.
Subsequently, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested Barbara Middleton, a 24-year-old from Silver Lake, on June 18th for dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, a Class B felony. Middleton's bond was set at $10,000.
We have reached out to the Drug Task Force for more information about the specific drugs that were being dealt.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers were also assisted by members of the Silver Lake Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department during the duration of the investigation.
