Two teens in court in connection with shooting death in South Bend
Two teens were court Monday in connection with the shooting death of Mack Caldwell back in November.
Rayterrion Wheeler, 16, faces felony murder charges. His trial will be June 17. Wheeler is charged with shooting and killing 51-year-old Caldwell at a South Bend home in the 1000 block of East Bowman, just off Miami.
Herbert Brown III, 18, is charged with assisting a criminal. Monday his trial was confirmed to begin on February 19.
According to the homeowner, it stemmed from a robbery gone bad. She says the victim had been staying with her for a few days because of financial problems.
