ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A self-defense plea is in store for a woman accused of killing the father of her girlfriend's child.

Joilise Crossley, 19, is charged with manslaughter and two counts of criminal recklessness.

The victim, Tyrone Kelly, had a rocky relationship with Crossley and came to her in March, to try to work out their problems.

But they started arguing.

Court documents say he took a swing at her and missed.

Then she is accused of shooting him with a semi-automatic handgun.

Crossley will be in court Monday, and her lawyers plan to enter a self-defense plea.

She will go to trial August 25th.
