Taylor arraigned in murder case

The man who prosecutors say fatally shot another man inside a South Bend business Saturday night will be back in court July 23rd.

55-year-old Michael Taylor is accused of killing 55-year-old Michael Gillam in the 200 block of North Olive.

He was charged Tuesday night with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and was arraigned Wednesday.

Police were dispatched to North Olive St. around 11:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found Gillam lying next to a pool table.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
