Swiss Valley ski runs open despite the warm weather

The snow may have melted away, but the warmer temps are not stopping folks from hitting the slopes. Swiss Valley Ski Resort in Jones, Michigan will be open this weekend despite the unseasonable weather.

The mostly mild winter forced the popular destination to push back its original opening date until late last month.

But officials say their workers have been busy making snow of their own, and even though you may not have any in your backyard, their hills are now covered.

The resort will be open until 10 p.m. Saturday, and all day Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
