BENTON HARBOR A robbery suspect will serve up to 30 years in prison for a crime that only netted 8 dollars.

The Herald Palladium reports that 23-year-old Anthony Yates pleaded guilty to robbing a cab driver last February in Benton Harbor. During the holdup, Yates' pistol discharged. A bullet went through the driver's jacket, but fortunately didn't hit him.

Yates had already served time for a different taxi cab robbery in 2010.
