Most of Michiana got a double-dose of storms Thursday, the second round passing through around 9 p.m.
Berrien County dispatchers say high winds knocked a tree onto Flynn Road in Chikaming Township and also caused a pole to catch fire on South Eleventh Street in Niles.
South Bend and St. Joseph County saw a few trees down, with AEP reporting about 1,500 residents without power as of midnight Thursday.
And in Elkhart County, organizers evacuated the grandstands at the County Fair during Thursday night's tractor pull.
No word on when or if that event will be rescheduled.
