Storms send two trees crashing into homes in Rolling Prairie, IN

Damage from the storms was seen throughout Michiana, especially in Rolling Prairie, where trees fell, damagin houses and property.

One fell on the home of two woman, 80-year-old sisters, living in the 3500-block of North County Rd. 700 East.

Another tree, just accross the street, fell on the deck of a second home in the area.

The part of the house it destroyed was a new addition, which took seven years for the homeowners to finish

A weak tornado ripped through parts of LaPorte County and Rolling Prairie, according to the National Weather Service, and may have been the cause for such extensive damage.

The National Weather Service is investigating to see just how strong of a tornado it was that came through Saturday evening
