Stolen pickup found in pond

Police are trying to determine how a stolen truck ended up in a St. Joseph County pond on Thursday.
After receiving a phoned-in tip, police found the pickup truck in a pond near S.R. 23 and Douglass Rd.
Officials say they checked to see if anyone was trapped inside the submerged vehicle, but found the truck to be empty.
According to police the pickup was reported stolen on Wednesday.
