There will soon be some new leadership in Berrien County, as the next Village Manager of Stevensville has officially been chosen.
That's according to our reporting partners at WSJM.
The Stevensville Village Council voted unanimously this week to offer the Village Manager's Job to 57-year-old Jae Guetschow.
The position became vacant earlier this year when Joe Sobieralski resigned to become City Manager of Bangor.
Guetschow has been the Village President of Blissfield, worked with the Michigan Department of Human Services, and chaired the Blissfield Downtown Development Authority.
He says he was attracted to Stevensville because of its simultaneous rural and metropolitan feel. Guetschow could be starting the new job as early as September.
