The State Theater opened its doors to a new form of artistic expression on Sunday.
A bazaar took over the space with 32 regional vendors putting their goods on display. Handmade jewelry, vintage clothing and various pieces of artwork drew in plenty of customers.
There was even a disc jockey to add to the atmosphere.
The organizer of the event says that they plan to host the bazaar at the State Theater on the second Sunday each month.
”The reaction we're getting today, I’ve had emails all week begging me to do it,” said event organizer Cathy Dietz. “Vendors on a waiting list, so I figured ok we better do it.”
Dietz also said that some of the customers had not even been inside the State Theater before so it was a great way to showcase the newly-renovated South Bend landmark.
