Starke County radio tower continues to cause problems

The Starke County Sheriff's Department Radio Tower is continuing to cause trouble for the county. That's according to our reporting partners at WKVI.

Quite a few fire departments have said they are having issues with it.

It all stems from last year's storms that almost toppled the tower. This resulted in a shorter tower and a shorter range for signals.

Oregon Township's Trustee says public safety is the main concern. If the radios don't work, his department might not receive a page from the County Dispatch and that could cause a big delay in responding to a fire.

Franklin and Maxson to be arraigned Friday
