ST. JOSEPH The city of St. Joseph is reversing course on downtown parking changes that were supposed to take effect in May, according to The Herald Palladium.
Commissioners decided in January to convert a majority of the downtown parking spots into two and three hour zones, instead of all day. The idea was to prevent people from parking downtown and walking to the beach.
Businesses complained, saying it would be a hardship on both employees and customers. There will now be a combination of timed and all-day spots.
